Scaling a Generative AI App to $1M Monthly Recurring Revenue
ImagineArt was Vyro's entry into generative AI image creation, launched in December 2022 at a time when AI-powered image generation was just entering the mainstream consumer market. The mandate was clear: build the analytics infrastructure, growth systems, and product strategy needed to take a brand new product from zero to market leader, fast.

Challenge
When ImagineArt launched, there was no mechanism connecting product changes to revenue outcomes. There was no attribution stack to measure campaign performance across paid channels, no event tracking to understand how users behaved inside the app, and no data infrastructure to support growth decisions at scale. Every lever that needed to be pulled to scale a consumer AI product required building the foundation first. The challenge was not just to grow the product but to build the systems that would make growth measurable, repeatable, and defensible.
Results
Within eight months of launch, ImagineArt grew from a standing start to one of the top-ranked generative AI apps on Android globally, crossing $1M in monthly recurring revenue and sustaining that position for nearly a full year. The combination of purpose-built analytics infrastructure, data-informed growth strategy, and disciplined product execution drove a 1,400% increase in revenue and measurable improvements across both retention and monetisation. Every commercial outcome was traceable back to a specific product or growth decision, which is what the data infrastructure was designed to make possible from day one.

Process
Phase 1: Analytics Foundation
Joined as Vyro's sole business analyst and built the company's first revenue tracking and post-release monitoring pipelines from scratch. Designed the complete Mixpanel event tracking schema covering every user flow, funnel, conversion trigger, and segmentation across the full product portfolio. Integrated Singular and AppsFlyer for mobile attribution across iOS and Android, resolving complex iOS privacy constraints to establish accurate ROI measurement and campaign performance tracking. This infrastructure became the company's primary visibility layer into user behaviour and the foundation for every growth decision that followed.
Phase 2: Growth Systems
Owned full-funnel growth strategy across Google UAC, paid social on Meta and TikTok, ASO, and organic SEO. Built centralised dashboards tracking cohort retention, CAC vs LTV, and country-level funnel performance. Developed a regional pricing and monetisation strategy by analysing subscription performance, willingness to pay, and behavioural patterns across geographies, directly informing tiered pricing decisions that improved revenue per user across key markets. Within eight months of launch, ImagineArt reached Top 1 to 3 global rankings on Android and crossed $1M in monthly recurring revenue.
Phase 3: Product Ownership
Promoted to Product Manager overseeing the full Android and iOS roadmap. Managed a cross-functional team of 20 to 30 engineers, designers, and ML specialists across both platforms simultaneously. Shipped five major product initiatives including the Community Feed, which transformed ImagineArt from an AI image generation tool into a creator platform, doubling average session time from 7 to 15 minutes and improving D1 retention from 7.3% to 9.6%. Redesigned theme-specific purchase flows, lifting landing-to-purchase conversion from 0.98% to 1.6%. Led cross-platform unification of accounts, credits, and payments via Stripe, giving users a single login across Android, iOS, and web for the first time.

Conclusion
Building ImagineArt's analytics infrastructure from scratch and evolving into full product ownership produced outcomes that defined Vyro's trajectory as a company. The combination of data-informed growth strategy and disciplined product execution scaled a new generative AI product to $1M in monthly recurring revenue within eight months of launch, establishing it as a top-ranked global product on Android. The most important lesson from this chapter is that in AI products, the feedback loop between data, product, and growth is not a supporting function. It is the product itself.
